Bing-Shiun (Bing) Han

CS Ph.D. @ Stony Brook University

About me

Hi there, welcome to my personal webpage.

My name is Bing Han, and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Stony Brook University, where I work under the guidance of Dr. Anshul Gandhi and Dr. Zhenhua Liu. I received my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University. I earned industry experience from my internships at Intel and Cathay Financial Holdings, where I served as technical sales and data engineer, respectively.

My research focuses on GPU performance optimization and machine learning systems, specifically on minimizing resource contention when colocating deep learning tasks on GPUs. I am currently conducting a multi-layer analysis of cloud server compute and memory stacks to identify bottlenecks in compute, memory, and I/O across heterogeneous GPU units at GPU kernel level.

Outside of my research, I enjoy watching sci-fi and dark TV series. I'm also currently into pickleball and always up for a game!
